Kee Tas Kee Now Sawmill Limited. (KSL) is seeking 12 Individuals to participate in 8 weeks of paid forestry training from the end of April 2024 – June 2024. The successful candidates will participate in a forestry training camp being held at the Lubicon Lake Traditional Camp with room and board provided that includes transportation while at camp. Training will focus on forestry field operations, plant identification, regulations and environmental protection.

Responsibilities

Desired Abilities:
• Live in remote camp 5 days a week with weekends off.
• Able to walk through wooded areas without assistance.
• Like to spend time in the forest.
• Willing to work in all weather conditions

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Interested in vegetation, waterways and environmental protection.
• Experience with outdoor sports or lifestyle an asset.
• Looking to further their knowledge of the environment.
• Ideally looking to work a job outside.
• Applicants should be a minimum of 17 years old and able to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Compensation:
• Room, board and transportation while at camp.
• $25/hr for time in the training course
