Human Resources Generalist

The Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council is comprised of the five member Na:ons and is responsible for providing guidance and support to the individual member First Na:ons in developing and achieving success in the management and administra:on of their own programs with the intent of developing self-reliance.

Responsibilities

The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in managing and suppor8ng key HR func8ons across the organiza8on. The Generalist will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee rela8ons, benefits
administra8on, compliance, performance management, and training. This role will help foster a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent and effective decision-making skills, oral and written skills, assessment skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, teaching skills and supervisory skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Willing, capable and flexible in working to meet the needs of KTC.
• Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Code, Human Rights Act, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)regulations, and Workers’ Compensation laws in Alberta.
• Solid knowledge of HR best prac:ces with the ability to communicate and apply these practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft 360 applications (word, excel, powerpoint, forms etc)
• Knowledge and experience with HR Systems (HRBamboo, Humi, ADP)

Education and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. With a minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative role. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• CPHR designa:on or candidacy would be an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in HR sobware (e.g., HRIS systems, Microsob Office Suite).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
