North American Hunting Supplies (NAHS), a majority Indigenous-owned firearms and outdoor gear wholesaler, has made an impressive start to 2025 with new leadership and strategic direction. Acquired by KTC Investments Corporation and BIM Holdings Ltd. on January 1, the company is now focused on expanding its market footprint while building strong supplier and community relationships.
Key Moves in Q1
NAHS quickly transitioned to new management and informed key stakeholders, including staff, suppliers, and customers. In January, the team re-established international supply chains with a strategic visit to Türkiye and secured exclusive Canadian distribution deals at ShotShow 2025 in Las Vegas.
Leadership was further strengthened with the hiring of Jon Honey as General Manager in February. Two new sales reps—covering BC/Alberta and Quebec—have joined to drive national growth. A special sales campaign targeting Treaty Days significantly boosted ammunition orders.
Looking Forward: Growth, Innovation, and Indigenous Identity
With a growing team and stronger supplier ties, NAHS is advancing several key initiatives:
- Restructuring debt and securing growth capital from financial institutions and grants
- Launching Indigenous-branded firearms and exploring local ammunition manufacturing
- Expanding into tactical and law enforcement supply markets
- Developing firearm safety and survival training programs tailored to First Nations
NAHS is committed to becoming a leading Indigenous-owned wholesaler, promoting safe, accessible outdoor and tactical gear across Canada.
