On Thursday, February 5, 2026, Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council (KTC) proudly celebrated the completion of its Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Training Program in partnership with NAIT. The event was held at the Loon River Hall and marked an important milestone for participants who successfully completed the training.
The gathering recognized the dedication and effort shown throughout the program. Words of encouragement were shared by KTC CEO Scott Hickling, NAIT Program Developer Chase, and QuickBooks specialist Lloyd, who supported students through the technical components of the course. The event was hosted by Jackie Laboucan, creating a welcoming atmosphere for graduates, families, and community members.
This training initiative was developed to meet the financial administration needs of KTC member nations. The program was spearheaded by Penny Laboucan, Glenda Laboucan, Gail Thunder, and Jackie Laboucan, working alongside NAIT and program instructors to ensure the curriculum was practical, relevant, and directly applicable to community workplaces.
The graduation represents more than course completion — it reflects a growing capacity within the nations, building career skills, and strengthening self-sufficiency.
KTC continues to invest in education and workforce development, and this program is one of many initiatives supporting long-term growth and opportunity for member nations.
